Building community

Community is the heart of Footprints Educational Complex, and we work with local organisations every day to further strengthen and grow our village. The following are just a few of these organisations.

Our partnership with the Early Childhood Intervention Service is ongoing and has only strengthened throughout the last few years. The ECIS team are an integral support for our educators, offering support and information to help any family enrolled at our service. The overall aim of Inclusion Support is to provide parents and families with the knowledge, skills and support to meet the changing needs of their child, and to optimise each child’s development and ability to be part of family and community life. We are so grateful to be able to work with them to provide their expertise to our Footprints families when needed.

Department of Education

Footprints has been involved with the Working Together initiative for 2020, and will continue this through 2021. Through our partnership with WT we are supporting eligible families in our local community have free access to quality Early Learning. Our shared purpose is to support confident and creative children to thrive in strong, connected communities.

Grow Gather Give

Grow Gather Give

Our partnership with this organisation is relatively new, but we plan to become even more involved with them moving forward. Throughout 2020 Grow, Gather, Give have provided bread and other baked products for us to distribute to our families. These products are donated from local bakeries and supermarkets.

Our partnership is set to expand in 2021, with us also providing fresh food scraps and other natural materials for Grow, Gather Give to use for composting their gardens, and helping them grow even more fresh produce for the community.

Marist Regional College

Marist Regional College

Marist Regional College is a co-educational Catholic secondary college catering for young people from years 7 to 12. Building on foundations that began with the Sisters of Mercy and the Marist Fathers, our college has a strong devotion to Mary.

Lady Gowrie Inclusion Support Program

Lady Gowrie Inclusion Support Program

Footprints has a long-standing partnership with the Inclusion Support team at Lady Gowrie, and have regular conversations and face-to-face meetings with them to support the children attending Footprints and their families. The Inclusion Support Program supports our service by improving our capacity and capability to provide quality inclusive practice to all our Footprints children. It supports the inclusion and active participation of children with additional needs alongside their typically developing peers within our daily programs
